In early 2007, SAA expands to the San Fernando Valley, opening our new office in Encino. Vatche Daldemian is promoted to Principal of the Encino office. With a staff of over 80, SAA is the largest regional Interior Design and Architecture firm in Southern California. With a focus on providing unsurpassed local service throughout Southern California and beyond, and a commitment to recruiting and retaining the best talent, SAA expects continued growth and expanded capabilities to serve our rapidly growing client base. |

Surpassing our own expectations, SAA Los Angeles outgrows its space in just a year. Both our new Los Angeles office and the Newport Beach office are redesigned to provide an appealing, open environment for our staff. |

By 2000, Rick and Nelson were established competitors with a similar focus. Joining forces, they form Shlemmer+Kamus+Algaze (SKA) with offices in Long Beach and Newport Beach. Within two months’ time, Nelson’s former firm, P. Patrick Murray, decides not to compete with the newly formed SKA and we purchase the assets of the P. Patrick Murray firm. This same year, the Los Angeles office opens, bringing the total staff to 35.
In late 2000, work is completed for the 3-story corporate headquarters of BT Infonet in El Segundo. The $30 million, 150,000 SF facility was built on an 18” raised floor that carries power, telecommunications, and under floor air conditioning.
Also in 2000, ditech becomes our client. Beginning with 40,000 SF, our work for ditech grows to over to over 200,000 SF by 2006. |
