Torrance, CA – May 31, 2007 – HealthCare Partners Medical Group (HCP) will formally open a 1,300 square foot medical spa at 3565 Del Amo Boulevard in Torrance on June 5, 2007 with a private ribbon-cutting ceremony at 11:45 a.m. The spa is dedicated to the concept of individualized treatments delivered with safety, results and revitalization -- scientifically proven benefits that promote health and well-being. This spa provides medical and cosmetic treatment services.

Diane Petersen, MD, Lead Physician of the Medical Spa, explains that the spa will offer physician-directed, results-oriented, medically-based treatments, as well as traditional day spa services. Among the medical treatments offered will be non-surgical skin tightening, laser hair reduction, spider vein reduction, peels and body wraps. Qing (Julia) Tian, MD, a Board certified ENT specialist and Richard Yamamoto, MD, dermatologist, will also offer their services at the medical spa.

Envisioned as an oasis of tranquility and comfort, the medical spa will also offer all the amenities of a traditional day spa, including massages and facials, performed by an experienced staff headed by licensed aesthetician Suzanne Smith. There are three treatment rooms and state-of-the-art equipment (including IPL – intensified pulse light – and Titan lasers). The medical spa also carries carefully selected medical-grade skin care products, soothing teas, and candles. It also offers nutritional counseling.

Bamboo floors, Venetian plaster walls, limestone counter tops, and custom artwork create a serenely soothing setting. The spa is located immediately adjacent to HealthCare Partners Medical Group’s specialty medical services office in the same building, with a separate entrance.
