Brown & Riding Los Angeles Headquarters

Modern office break room with wooden ceiling panels and large windows. People work and relax at tables and a counter, surrounded by plants, exuding a calm atmosphere.

Project Overview

SAA partnered with Brown & Riding, a prominent Insurance brokerage firm, to transform a Class A high rise suite in Downtown Los Angeles into a modern, art-forward workplace designed to bring employees back together. What had been a traditional office environment was reimagined as an open, hospitality-inspired space that maximizes skyline views, encourages collaboration, and reflects the firm’s creative identity. The result is a polished, inviting headquarters that elevates culture, supports productivity, and strengthens the employee experience.

Project Challenges

  • Creating a compelling first impression that authentically integrates the company’s art-driven identity and nationwide presence
  • Balancing openness and transparency with the need for privacy in offices and conference areas
  • Managing natural light and glare to maintain comfort and visibility while celebrating expansive city views
Modern office space featuring a glass-walled conference room with chairs, three people sitting on couches in the hallway, and a person walking by. Bright, clean, and professional.

Key Moves

  • Designed a reception and conference zone anchored by a custom mural that visualizes Brown & Riding’s evolution and collaborative spirit
  • Applied graphic privacy film derived from the mural to maintain openness while supporting confidentiality
  • Positioned workstations and social spaces along the window line to amplify daylight, views, and everyday employee engagement
Modern office space with people working at standing desks separated by partitions. Glass walls and large windows offer a bright, collaborative atmosphere.

Outcome

SAA delivered a workplace that blends art, hospitality, and functionality to create a meaningful return-to-office experience. The open ceiling concept, strategic lighting, and curated gathering spaces work together to support collaboration and comfort while reinforcing Brown & Riding’s brand identity. The headquarters provides a modern, energizing environment that strengthens culture and delivers long-term value for the organization.
